Chief Financial Officer

SSG partnered with the Philadelphia Museum of Art on an executive search to hire its new Chief Financial Officer, Valarie McDuffie.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is one of the largest and most renowned art museums in the country.

Ms. McDuffie brings more than 20 years of experience as a finance and operations leader in both the for- and non-profit sectors. Additionally, she has a proven track record of robust financial analysis to ensure sound operational and financial decision-making.

Recently, she served as Interim Vice President of Finance and Treasurer for The College of New Jersey. Prior to joining the college, Ms. McDuffie was the Senior Associate Dean for Business Services and CFO for Rutgers University. Earlier in her career, she held several executive roles at Temple University. These roles included Director of the Temple Performing Arts Center.

Ms. McDuffie received her Bachelor of Science degree in organizational development and leadership from St. Joseph’s University and her MBA from Strayer University.
